Research Areas of Interest/Experience
The human geography and political ecology of oceans—social, political, and spatial dimensions of marine and freshwater places/spaces. Topics include: community-based and Indigenous-led environmental management; aquatic placemaking and fluid spaces; fisheries & blue food systems, food security and sovereignty; situated and Indigenous environmental knowledge; adaptive marine governance; qualitative and mixed-methods research. Oceania (Hawai‘i and Samoa) and Western North America (California, Arizona).
